Margaret Craig and Southwest School of Art (SSA) colleagues Nicole Geary and Dinah Coakley attended the 2015 Southern Graphics Council Conference (Sphere SGCI) in Knoxville Tennessee (March 18-21, 2015).
Margaret and Dinah showed work at one of the many tables set up for the conference’s Open Portfolio Session.
The two also presented a demonstration called The Sphere of Vinyl/Media Cutting for Aid in Platemaking that detailed how to use computerized cutting to augment intaglio, screen-printing, relief, monoprints and dry point, starting with the artist’s own image.
Nicole Geary presented Geology and Personal History in Printmaking in a panel session entitled At the Core: Printmakers and Geologies.
The Sphere SGCI Conference brought together printmakers from across the globe. The gathering included 1,600 attendees from 13 different countries.
