Malleable Objects are creatures lifted from the sea to fall flat from lack of watery support, otherworldly landscapes created for things that might exist. They are endlessly twisted objects reminiscent of an extrinsic humanity.
Support the McNay’s contemporary art collection at this second annual raffle and sale. The evening features a raffle presenting ten works of art by ten of San Antonio’s finest—all participants in the McNay’s Artists Looking at Art series.
This demo will show printmakers how to use Yupo Paper and Digital Ground for Non-Porous Surfaces for off market purposes, producing innovative prints.
A special opportunity to meet fellow print artist Margaret Craig, Chair of Painting, Drawing and Printmaking at Southwest School of Art, San Antonio. She will be stopping by Burning Bones to show us the watercolor monotype and digital transfer using Yupo she recently demonstrated at the Mid-Atlantic Print Conference. She will also discuss Yupo collagraphs and share examples of her work.

After weeks of restoration, The Cellar Gallery is ready to open for the first time presenting ‘Below from above’, a group show featuring 12 international artists currently living in Berlin.
PRINTTX is a juried exhibition of contemporary Texas printmaking organized by PrintMatters and the Museum of Printing History as part of PrintHouston 2013. The show is juried by Peter S. Briggs, the Helen DeVitt Jones Curator of Art at the Museum of Texas Tech University.
Of course nature. Playing on the German word for ‘Naturally’, it seemed appropriate to encapsulate a diverse group of work that coincidentally touch on notions of nature both real, imagined or constructed. It is this coincidence and surprise element that led me to choose the works made by the Spring Takt artists group where nature is not limited to landscape or the environment but extends to examinations of human nature.
