Margaret Craig’s art installation for the Duende Art Project opens Saturday, September 12th, 6-9 pm.

Margaret Craig – Etched Spores: Vinyl Cut Plate Collagraph. Learn how to transfer your drawings or photographs into stencils, drypoint and collagraph plates using a computer and an electronic stencil-cutting machine.

The “Natural Forms” exhibition features the work of four international artists. The artists participating in the July residency at Terra Vivente Art Studio are: Margaret Craig, a sculptor and printmaker from Texas, USA, who presents a project using recycled plastic bottles and transforming them into delicate organic forms; Ingrid Tremblay, a French-Canadian from Montreal, who works with natural forms, sculpted locally found tuff, and made plaster molds of local plant life; Crystal Davis, a poet from Tasmania, Australia, who brought her vintage typewriter with her to write on leaves and other natural material, and also made videos of her investigations during the residency; Rachael Bower, an artist from Texas, USA, inspired by the plant and animal life present in Guardia, worked with drawing and painting on paper.
