PechaKucha (Japanese for “chit chat”) was started in Tokyo in 2003 by Klein Dytham architecture “as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.” It has now spread to over 700 cities. When it first came to San Antonio in February of 2011, there were a little over 200 cities officially participating. PechaKucha events usually have between 6 and 11 participants; in San Antonio, we typically have 8. We invite artists, architects, writers, woodworkers, journalists, all kinds of designers, and other creative professionals.
