Resilient and Responsive: Artists and the Environment Artist Talk & Workshop

July 11 @ 6:00 pm 8:00 pm

The Department of Arts & Culture invites you to join us for an Artist Talk and Workshop on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 6pm in our Culture Commons Gallery. At this event, artists from the Resilient and Responsive exhibition – Linda MonsivaisManuel Davila, and Margaret Craig – will speak about their work in the show, their use of repurposed or natural materials, and lead a hands-on demo of a technique used in their work. Attendees will then create a unique work of art using the instructions shared by the artists. This event is free to attend, but registration is required: https://publicinput.com/XB8565

This event is part of the programming for the Resilient and Responsive exhibition, organized in collaboration with the City’s Office of Sustainability and focused on climate, the environment, and the impact on the local community. It features 14 San Antonio-based artists whose work responds to the City’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. The exhibition will be on view until January 17, 2025.
