Testing lights - Great Trash Reef

Testing lights on the Great Trash Reef

From luminariasa.org: Margaret Craig will be exhibiting The Albatross, part of her ongoing thought-provoking installation sculpture series, Great Trash Reef, incorporating live performance.

Craig says of the project, “my premise is that with all the trash humans have dumped in the ocean, nature will use this abundant resource of plastic to evolve new life forms. It is a little incongruous, creating beautiful creatures out of trash, but it gives viewers a way to contemplate the ecological issues.”
