\n“I have a theory that the tons of plastic trash being dumped in to the oceans and other places\, will become a resource for newly evolved life forms. Whether this will be helpful to humanity or not is where the m onster comes in. In this exhibition\, I fill the window at Box 13 with an alternate world of evolutions that I have created from repurposed plastic and other mixed media. The glass window will become an aquarium for the cr eatures. The work is detailed\, beautiful\, and looks like glass yet also gives the viewer a deeper message to contemplate.
\nMy art extends t he process of human manipulation of natural influences that become decorat ion. It concerns contemplation of the ways we affect the plants and animal s around us\, and\, sometimes how we may be affected by them. The excessiv e\, compulsive process I use in my work evokes a quality of human over man ipulation. My message is not overt. My intent is not to preach but instead create work that will engender thought about the relationship between hum ans and their surroundings.”
